2009 has seen leading land remediation and regeneration specialist Harrow Estates buying big over the last twelve months.
Three major acquisitions has seen nearly 150 acres of land purchased for redevelopment and strategic promotion. 47 acres of brownfield land with 500,000sq ft of industrial and commercial premises on the former Clariant works site at Horsforth in Leeds, is a classic example of the remediation, planning and regeneration expertise necessary to turn a problem site into cash.
A 76 acre site in mid Cheshire has also been acquired, as well as a series of on-going negotiations on several other sites. Both acquisitions were completed speedily with immediate financial settlement.
A further 38 acre Aggregate Industries site in The Cotswold has also been purchased and completed in just 6 days. The site has been granted on a leaseback to Aggregate Industries for a period to allow the company to wind-down operations.
