Community Involvement

Our involvement within the communities in which we work is widespread. We engage and consult at all levels and stages within the planning and development process. Strong relationships are formed with a wide range of key stakeholders; from local residents groups, parish councils and other government representatives to regulatory bodies such as the Environment Agency.

Within the team at Harrow Estates, staff are actively encouraged to participate in fundraising and volunteering initiatives.

Our Legal Director, Vincent Fairclough, participated in the epic 6-week, 2007 Peking to Paris motor challenge, raising over £11,000 for the Lymphoma Association and the Christies Magic Bullet appeal, while winning third place in his overall category.

2007 also saw the issue of our first Christmas eCard. A donation was made in lieu of print and post costs and the recipient, the North Wales Chrysalis Trust, was voted for by staff.

Harrow Estates also has strong links with The Morgan Foundation where two of our Director’s are trustees. Established in 2001 by Harrow’s Chairman, Steve Morgan, it supports charities across North Wales, Merseyside, West Cheshire and North Shropshire. Its philosophy is one of 'making a difference' and it provides funding for small to medium sized organisations who are addressing specific needs in these regions.
