Consultation Announced On Plans For New Homes In Hartford
Harrow Estates has today announced proposals for residential development at Grange Farm in Hartford. The proposals will also include public open space and play areas, for both residents of the development and for local people to use and enjoy.

There is a chronic shortage of new homes within Cheshire West and Chester Borough, but Harrow Estates’ proposals will assist in delivering much-needed family homes, jobs and investment from the Government’s New Homes Bonus. The plans will provide new family homes, as well as a proportion of affordable housing to cater for local needs, such as first time buyers struggling to get their foot on the housing ladder or key workers, such as nurses and teachers.

Grange Farm is ideally located to deliver new family homes being located at the heart of the village and the plans will create an attractive place to live, with houses designed to be in keeping with the conservation area and existing properties in Hartford along with extensive landscaping throughout the development. The plans will provide new homes close to excellent public transport links and a wide range of local schools, as well as local shops and services. New residents in Hartford will also bring more trade for local shops and businesses, and the plans would also provide an area of off-road car parking to serve the shops on the south side of Chester Road.

Ahead of submitting an outline planning application to Cheshire West and Chester Council, Harrow Estates wants to hear the views of local people in Hartford regarding its proposals. A public exhibition has been arranged to allow the local community to find out more about the proposals and comment on the initial plans. Members of the development team will also be on hand to listen and answer any questions about the proposals, and feedback forms will be available at the exhibition for members of the public to complete.

Tim Booth, Planning Manager at Harrow Estates said:
“Our plans for Grange Farm represent substantial investment in Hartford and will deliver a high-quality residential development that will assist in delivering family homes that are needed in the Borough. We have considered the conservation area setting and produced initial plans of how the site could look, but to ensure we deliver the best possible scheme, we want to work with local people to develop our plans further.

“As a company, we are committed to engaging with the community and want local people to come along to our exhibition to let us know their views on our initial proposals. We want the residents of Hartford to help inform the plans for Grange Farm and we look forward to speaking with those interested in the proposals at our consultation event.”

The consultation event will be held at Hartford Social Club on Bradburns Lane on Monday 18th July from 12pm – 8pm. A dedicated community information line is also available for those who want to discuss the plans on 0161 247 8417.
