Harrow Estates has finalised the purchase of 39 acre site in Elmswell, Suffolk

Former food factory acquired in Elmswell
Harrow Estates has finalised the purchase of 39 acre site in Mid-Suffolk via Jones Lang Lasalle acting as agents for Fixed Charge Receivers Allsop LLP.

The former Grampian Country Foods Factory is located in the popular village of Elmswell just off the A14 close to major settlements such as Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds. The site has been a food processing facility since its original development in 1911 but ceased production in the summer of 2006, since which time the site has been vacant. The buildings are in a state of significant disrepair offering Harrow Estates the opportunity to consider alternative uses on site, restoring the quality of the environment and enhance the Village.

To this end Harrow Estates has commissioned a range of initial base line studies and assessments, to inform discussions with the community and the local planning authority. Consultation with the local community regarding the future development of the site will take place in the near future.
