Harrow Estates acquires former sand quarry in Exeter
Harrow Estates continues its expansion into new markets having recently acquired a former sand quarry at Bishops Court in Exeter.
The site, acquired from Aggregate Industries who will continue to occupy the site on a short term basis, has been used for concrete batching, aggregates storage and distribution. Extending to approximately 21 acres overall and situated within the City of Exeter, the site is within a short distance of Digby and Sowton Railway Station and Exeter Chiefs Rugby Stadium.
Tim Noden of Harrow Estates said "Situated in a sustainable location, within the urban area of Exeter, the site has excellent public transport links to the City Centre and surrounding area as well as being close to Junction 30 of the M5 motorway. The site offers an excellent opportunity to reuse a brownfield site with potential to provide urgently needed housing to help meet the city's housing needs"
Harrow Estates have commenced initial discussions with the local planning authority and commissioned a variety of baseline studies and feasibility assessments prior to consultation with the local community for the future development of the site.
