Planning consent secured at Westgate
Harrow Estates plc and Joint Venture partners Robert Hitchins Limited have secured a Reserved Matters planning consent for a further 411,000 sq ft of distribution warehousing at their Westgate Development in Severnside.
The Westgate scheme already benefits from an extant 1957 planning consent, however a small area within the “perimeter zone” identified within the 1957 consent requires the submission of design and landscaping details for approval.
Adrian Lewis of Harrow Estates said, “We have worked diligently with South Gloucestershire Council to establish a precedent to the process in respect of applications within the perimeter zone. This element of the 1957 consent has not previously been tested, however the successful outcome of the application will provide further confidence in the process to potential occupiers.”
Chris Haslam, of Robert Hitchins Limited, added, “We are very pleased to have confirmed planning for this exciting 411,000 sq ft development of two B8 warehouses which we can now deliver and reinforces the quality and extent of our Westgate scheme.”
