Elmswell - Suffolk

The former Grampian Foods factory, which covers 39 acres in total and includes 16 acres of previously developed land, is located in the north of the Suffolk town of Elmswell and has been redundant since 2006. 

The attractive town of Elmswell benefits from excellent transport links to Ipswich and Cambridge, via the mainline railway station in the town and the nearby A14.

• Outline planning permission for the redevelopment of the site to provide up to 190 homes was granted by Mid Suffolk District Council in March 2015.
• The approved scheme will utilise a brownfield site and provide a range of much needed new market and affordable homes.
• Publicly accessible open space will be provided as part of the scheme and contributions will be made towards local infrastructure.

A specialist contractor has been appointed to undertake the necessary demolition works and begin the process of preparing the site for residential development.
